Styles and types of conservatory
- Traditional Victorian - an attractive space suitable for most uses
- Georgian - clean square lines maximises internal space
- Lean-to/Mediterranean - suited to build situations with limited height, particularly bungalows. Mono pitch/flat design provides a cost-effective extension to your home
- T shape or P shape - provides individual style for the larger room. Add a wing to turn conservatory into either shape
- Lantern - ultimate in conservatory design, attached or standalone, it makes a statement
- Gable - provides distinctive look especially when a high-pitched roof is incorporated.
Quality construction goes into building conservatories, which are topped off with an engineered roofing system of various materials/effects. Choose from a wide range of doors and personalise your conservatory with circular, arched or gothic window frames, a decorative trim and add a ventilation fan for that colonial look.
Grovewood offers the award-winning Tricept PVC-U conservatory system, which provides a wide range of both traditional and modern styles.
Tricept conservatories are available in a choice of brilliant white, rich mahogany or light oak effect. Alternatively, you may have mahogany finish on the outside with white finish on the inside, this will give a brighter more roomier feel to the interior whilst keeping the wood effect on the outside
Glazing options
The conservatory glass boasts a self-cleaning coating to the outside to help maintain clearer view and optional coatings to reflect the sun's rays plus an air or gas-filled cavity for reduced heat loss - keeping you warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Glazing options include deep glass bevels, engraved textured glass, real coloured glass and traditional, square, diamond or patterned lead, even stained glass, which can be personalised to create your own unique design
Stunning visual effects can be obtained through use of bevelled, stained or etched glass, and textured designs provide added privacy.
Glazing bars can be added to both inside and outside the window and fitted between two panes of glass - inside the double-glazed sealed unit.
